Tom of Finland (born Touko Laaksonen, 1920 – 1991) is one of the most internationally renowned Finnish artist of all time. Over the decades, his ideal men have kept returning as part of a common cultural iconography. Tom´s erotic fantasy drawings are celebrated as the enduring icons of sexual subcultures, and recognized be ever expanding audiences. His highly aestheticized, technically exquisite drawings have exerted an influence on fashion, design, and trends worldwide. This richly illustrated book presents Tom of Finland´s oeuvre spanning from the 1940s to the 1990s.
