Description
The rich palette of Helene Schjerfbeck's Self-Portrait (1912) is mirrored in earrings inspired by the painting. The spirit of the jewellery reflects Art Deco, a style that emerged in the early 1910s. At the same time, Schjerfbeck was painting his self-portrait. The earrings are made of gold-plated sterling silver and glass.
